On March 25, 2024, Dhoritri Rokhhay Amra (DHORA) and Waterkeepers Bangladesh collaborated to host a dialogue titled "Impediments in Protection of the River and the Way Out; Barishal Perspective" at the Celebration Point Convention Center in Barishal. The event was attended by Shah Md. Rafiqul Islam, Additional District Commissioner of Barishal, along with other notable participants including a Senior Chemist from the Department of Environment in Barishal, Md Zaki Shahriar, Assistant Manager of BIWTA, journalists, farmers, and members of the local community.
