Khowai River Waterkeeper and Bangladesh Poribesh Andolon (BAPA) jointly organized a day long programme to observe the ‘’International Day of Action for Rivers’’ on March 14, 2016 in Habiganj district. From the program the organizers demanded the protection of River Khowai from all types of pollution and land grabbing activities. The organizers arranged a public meeting, quiz competition and prize giving ceremony to observe the day. Students, guardians and people from all sectors participated in the program. On the day, a public meeting named “Let us unite to save river”, was held at the New Blue Bird School premises at 9 am.
