On July 30, 2025, at 4:00 PM, a month-long tree plantation program was inaugurated at the mosque square of Mithakhali Bazar in Mongla, organized by Dhoritri Rokhhay Amra (DHORA), Pashur River Waterkeeper, Waterkeepers Bangladesh. The initiative aims to build a green belt across coastal areas. The slogan of the campaign is: “Let’s plant trees, build a green Bangladesh.” The event was chaired by Environmental Activist and Central Leader of DHORA and Pashur River WaterkeeperMd. Noor Alam Sheikh. Agriculturist Mohammad Shamimur Rahman Shamim, Syndicate Member of Habiganj Agricultural University, Central Research Affairs Secretary of BNP, and General Secretary of the Arafat Rahman Koko Sports Council attended the event as the Chief Guest & inaugurated the event.Notable Attendees includeAbdul Mannan Hawladar, Freedom Fighter Sheikh Abu Hanif, Sports Personality Sheikh Rustam Ali, Emran Hossain, Saiful Islam, Md.
