In another event of the day, Pashur River Waterkeeper arranged a discussion meeting with local shrimp larvae collectors at Kolatola Temple premises at 12:00 pm. In the meeting the larvae collectors admitted that while collecting larvae, the larvae of other fishes were also being damaged. They said, if they would get any other livelihood opportunities, they could give up collecting larvae. Sharif Jamil, the Coordinator, Waterkeepers Bangladesh; Md. Noor Alam Seikh, the Pashur River Waterkeeper; Abdul Karim Kim, the Surma River Waterkeeper; Abdul Halim Hawlader, UP Member, Chila and more than hundred of female larvae collectors joined the meeting.
