WKB consortium organized a press conference. The press conference was organized on boats.

Before the press conference journalists and other participants took part in a river inspection by boat from Doleshwar Gudara Ghat to Fire Service Ghat. Journalists and other participants observed the draining of waste water in the Buriganga river in different points. The press conference was chaired by Sharif Jamil, Coordinator, Waterkeepers Bangladesh. Professor Dr. Ahmed Kamruzzaman Majumder, consortium member and chairman of Environmental Science, Stamford University Bangladesh read out the key note speech on behalf of the WKB Consortium. Mr. Hanif Shahid, Senior Member BAPA, Advocate Ms. Raoman Smita, Member Secretary Jubo BAPA Program; Mr. Md. Salim, member Buriganga Nodi Morcha also expressed their solidarity in the press conference. From Counterpart International Mr. Syed Sultan Chand, Senior Program Specialist and Mr. Mahadhe Hasan, Program Specialist attended the press conference.
