A meeting was jointly arranged by Pashur River Waterkeeper, BAPA and Waterkeepers Bangladesh on 5th February 2017, at morning. The discussion was held on Pashur River and Dhangmari canal erosion and effective measure for protection. The meeting was chaired by UP member Babu Dipak Mondol, Chief guest was Pashur River Waterkeeper Md. Noor Alam Sheikh. In addition, Nibhash Halder, Israfil Bayati, Isrifan Halder and Ripon Barai spoke as the local representative. The speakers requested the government to take necessary steps in order to save the Pashur river and Dhangmari Canal from erosion. As a result of the erosion, the local people lost their land. Another meeting was held in the evening. The discussion was held on Pashur River and unauthorized industrialization.The meeting was chaired by Md. Ayub Ali, Chief guest was Pashur River Waterkeeper Md. Noor Alam Sheikh. The speakers requested the government to take necessary steps in order to save the Pashur river and Dhangmari Canal from erosion. As a result of the erosion, the local people lost their land. The villagers were asked to continue the movement towards saving the river and declared that on 12th February another movement would be held at Chila Bazar. As part of the event, another village meeting held on 7th February 2017 at evening. The discussion was held on Pashur River and unauthorized industrialization. The meeting was chaired by Geeta Halder, Chief guest was Pashur River Waterkeeper Md. Noor Alam Sheikh. Among other speakers Monica Halder, Riti Barai, Nazmul Haque were present.The speakers requested the government to take necessary steps in order to save the Pashur river.
