On March 21, Thursday, Dhoritri Rokhhay Amra (DHORA), Waterkeepers Bangladesh and Blue Planet Initiative (BPI), organized International Day of Forests 2024 across various locations in the country in order to aware people about the protection of the environment. Through various initiatives, people from different parts of the country, including environmentalists, forest dwellers, and others, actively participated in this event. Programs were held in Mongla, Barguna, Cox’s Bazar, Taltali, Patharghata, Maheshkhali, Kutubdia, Pekua, and Kalapara since the morning with the aim of observing the day and implementing various activities for the preservation of forests.
